Bartoli is No 1 seed at the Pattaya Women's Open
The US$170,000 Pattaya Women's Open, professional women's tennis tournament, supported by Pattaya City, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Chonburi Provincial Administration is being held at the Dusit Resort, Pattaya from 3 - 11 February 2007.
The Pattaya Women's Open has attracted a strong line-up of tennis stars, with rising French star Marion Bartoli as the tournament's No 1 seed. Bartoli finished as runner-up in last year's Japan Open and is already a title holder at Pattaya, having won the doubles here with Amanda Gronfeld in 2005. Second seed is Russian Maria Kirilenko, who won the Beijing Open in 2005. Thailand 's challenge is led by Tamarine Tanasugarn, who was the runner-up in last October's PTT Bangkok Open. Other well-known players taking part in the tournament are PTT Bangkok Open title-holder Vania King, Japan 's Akiko Nakamura and Italian star Mara Santangelo, and China 's Shuai Peng.
Wild cards in the main draw have been given to Thailand 's Montinee Tangpong and Alicia Molik from Australia .

Monday 5 February - Thursday 8 February:
(1 st and 2 nd rounds of main draw) - 300 baht
Friday 9 February - Sunday 11 February:
(Quarter-finals, semi-finals and final) - 300, 500 and 1000 baht.
