A special pre-qualifying tournament for Thai teams into the Phuket Thailand Open powered by PTT, Swatch FIVB Beach Volley World Tour event will be held at the beach stadium at the Sports Authority of Thailand complex in Huamark.
The pre-qualifying tournament will be held over 4 days from 20 – 23 August 2009 with the winning team gaining a wild card into the main draw of the Swatch FIVB World Tour tournament and the teams finishing in 2nd - 4th places getting entry into the qualifying round.
This is the fourth successive year that the Swatch FIVB World Tour has been held at Karon beach in Phuket province with this year’s event scheduled for 3 - 8 November.
The beach stadium at Huamark is a joint venture between Pentangle Promotions Co., Ltd and the Sports Authority of Thailand, and the Phuket Thailand Open pre-qualifying tournament will be the first event to be staged at the new venue. Click here for the regulation and the entry form
