Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf team triumph in Portugal
 
The Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf team stormed to victory at the Oceanico World Kids Championship at the Amendoeira Golf Resort in Portugal last week, clinching both the overall boys and girls titles.

The Oceanico World Kids Golf Championship is the biggest event in the Iberian peninsula, drawing top junior golfers from 15 countries to the prestigious Amendoeira Golf Resort from 25 – 29 July.

In addition to winning the overall titles, the Mercedes-Benz junior golf team finished first in 3 classes, Bandit Chaisuk finished 9 strokes ahead of the chasing field to win the Boys 14 and under class and overall boys title. In the Girls 16 and under class Nattiya Soombunsub carded an even par 216 over the three days of the competition to scoop the girls overall title and win her class.  Pathamaporn Ariyamatepreecha recorded the third class win for the team in the Girls 14 and under class beating compatriot Pisaon  Chaichompoo by 5 strokes.

Recording a 2nd place finish was Nirun Sae Ueng in the Boys 18 and under class, who was beaten by local boy Concalo Pinto.

The Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf team is comprised of the winners from the Mercedes-Benz  Masters Final, which is the last  tournament of the Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf Championships.
