2012 Mercedes-Benz  Masters Final Information

The Tournament:

The Mercedes-Benz Masters Final  is an international junior golf tournament held in Thailand. It is the final round of the 10th Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf Championships.

The tournament is made up of the top Thai golfers from the Mercedes-Benz qualifying rounds in Thailand, plus international golfers who comply with the age eligibility regulations below:

Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

Date of Event:            

• Free practice:     12 June 2012.
• Tournament:        13 – 15 June 2012.

Classes:

• Boys  12 and under (under 13 years old on 15 June)
• Girls   12 and under (under 13 years old on 15 June)
• Boys  14 and under (under 15 years old on 15 June)
• Girls   14 and under (under 15 years old on 15 June)
• Boys  18 and under (under 19 years old on 15 June)
• Girls   18 and under (under 19 years old on 15 June)
• Boys   23 and under (under 24 years old on 15 June)
• Girls   23 and under (under 24 years old on 15 June)

Trophies:

Trophies will be awarded for golfers placed 1 – 4 in the boys classes and for places1 - 3 in the girls classes.

In addition there will be a special trophy for international entries in each class for the most improved player over the 3 days of competition.

Certificates

All golfers competing in the tournament will receive a certificate of  participation in the event

Format: 

Stroke play based on gross scores over 54 holes.( 3 days of play.)

Championship Regulations

The Championship will be played in accordance with R&A regulations and the local rules at each golf course. A copy of the local rules in English will be given to each entrant.

Decisions made by the referees will be final.

In the event that more than one golfer is tied for first place in the Master’s Final, an Elimination Sudden Death Playoff will be held at a hole(s) decided by the Organising Committee.

In the event that there is a tie for 2nd place onwards  in the Masters Final, the scores on the final day will be compared, if the scores are still tied, then a count-back will be made using the following criteria: 

• The score over the last nine holes (10-18), if still tied, then
• The score over the last six holes (13-18), if still tied, then
• The score over the last three holes (16–18), if still tied, then
• A hole by hole comparison from the 18th hole, until a winner is found.

Briefing;  
A briefing and welcome reception will be held at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Pattaya on Tuesday 12 June 2012 at 18.30.All overseas golfers and team captains are required to attend. 

Tee-off:    
Tee-off will be from holes 1 and 10 daily.  Tee-off times will be advised in advance and displayed on the official website at: www.pentanglepromotions.com

The following package is offered to golfers who reside outside of Thailand who wish to compete in the tournament:

•  Special price at the Dusit Thani, Pattaya from Saturday  09 June 2012 until Sunday 17 June 2012 at the following rates per day:     Single/ Twin/ Double  3,000 baht, Triple 4,100 baht.  This daily rate is inclusive of ABF buffet breakfast and taxes.

• Free buffet lunch at the golf course daily from Wednesday 13 June to Friday 15 June 2012. (golfers only)

• Shuttle bus transportation from the Dusit Thani Hotel to and from the golf course daily from Tuesday 12 June to Friday 15 June 2012. (golfers and parents).

• Airport transfers to and from the Dusit Thani, Pattaya hotel. (for golfers and parents)

• Invitation to the prize presentation dinner on Friday 15 June at the Dusit Thani, Pattaya  (invitation includes parents).

•  Free green fees for the free practice day on Tuesday 12  June and for each day of the competition (13- 15 June) .

•  Free entry fee to the tournament.

• Free welcome pack for all junior golfers.

• A hospitality desk at the hotel and reception desk at the golf course to provide assistance to participants at all times.

Please note:   

Golfers will need to pay their own caddy fees and other expenses incurred at the hotel as internet, laundry and telephone expenses.
                      
To facilitate convenience for airport transfers we require a minimum of 24 hours notice of pick-up and departure times.

A welcome pack with full details of the tournament and other relevant information, will be provided on arrival in Pattaya.
