การแข่งขันกอล์ฟเยาวชนรายการ “ เมอร์เซเดส-เบนซ์ จูเนียร์ กอล์ฟ แชมเปี้ยนชิพส์ ” ปีที่ 11 สำหรับรอบคัดเลือกสนาม 7 ซึ่งเป็นสนามสุดท้ายของฤดูกาล เพื่อคัดเลือกนักกอล์ฟเข้าแข่งขันรอบเอเชี่ยน มาสเตอร์ไฟนอล ได้ทำการแข่งขัน 2 วันในวันที่ 11 – 12 พฤษภาคม ที่ผ่านมา ณ สนามกอล์ฟเอเวอร์กรีน ฮิลส์ กอล์ฟ คลับ จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี มีนักกอล์ฟเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันกว่า 130 คน และเป็นการแข่งขัน สนามสุดท้ายของฤดูกาลที่ดุเดือดอีกสนามหนึ่ง ผลการแข่งขันดังนี้

Mr.Petcharatmr Putsorn, head coach of the Thailand Beach Volleyball teams, together with some of the team members recently visited the offices of Pentangle Promotions Co., Ltd to wish a Happy Thai New Year to Mr. Geoffrey Rowe, Managing Director of Pentangle Promotions Co., Ltd and the company’s staff.

Last year, Pentangle Promotions supported the Thai No 1 pairing of Radarong and Udomchavee to compete in the Swatch FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event, the PAF Open in Finland. This year, the Thai teams plan to compete in a number of Beach Volleyball World Tour tournaments in Europe and Asia. They have recently returned from competing in the year’s first Grand Slam tournament in Shangh ......

International entries for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz Asian Masters Final have closed as of 1 May 2013, due to an overwhelming response from golfers around the region that has filled all the available spots for foreign golfers in the tournament.

Over 70 entries have been received from 11 countries in Asia and they will join more than 80 Thai golfers who will have qualified for the Asian Masters Final via the 7 qualifying rounds in Thailand. The final round of qualifying for Thai golfers will be held at Evergreen golf course, Kanchanaburi on 11 – 12 May.

The Mercedes-Benz Asian Masters Final, an international junior golf tournament will be held over 54 holes from 12 – 14 June 2013 at Burapha golf course in Chonburi. There are 4 age categories for boys and girls; 12 years old and under, 14 years old and under, 17 years old and under and 23 years old and under.

“Nong Ultra” Puripol Numkrang competing in the Boys 12 and under class at the Mercedes-Benz Junior Golf Championships at Watermill set the course alight with a scintillating score of 15 under par over the two days of competition in the 6th qualifying round. His total of 129 saw him claim victory by 3 strokes over Witin Lee, who also recorded an excellent score finishing on 12 under par, in 3rd place on 141 was Nattapat Harnchokchaisakul.There were no such fireworks in the Girls 12 and under class where Apichaya Yubhol took the honours with a score of 145, following her home were Nicha Worasarnpisut on 150 who clinched 2nd spot on the count back from Arthaya Thitikul.

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour event, the Thailand Open powered by PTT is set to return to Karon beach, Phuket in 2013. After staging the event in Phuket for 6 years, the tournament was moved to Bangsaen in 2012, but changes to the regulations by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) have allowed the organisers to reconsider using Phuket to stage the tournament.
Mr. Geoffrey Rowe, Managing Director of Pentangle Promotions Co., Ltd, the licence-holders of the tournament stated that “the move away from Phuket to Bangsaen was made on financial grounds. However the FIVB has amended the regulations appertaining to Open events, to encourage more promoters to stage events. The result is that the overall cost structure has been reduced making it viable to return to Karon beach. Prior to selecting Phuket, we considered other venues which were interested in hosting the event, as Hua-hin, Pattaya and Samui. However Phuket was considered the most suitable venue as Karon beach ......

What a final that was! Two hours and 37 minutes of fluctuating fortunes, which saw Maria Kirilenko defeat Sabine Lisicki 5-7 6-1 7-6 (1) to win the PTT Pattaya Open.
It was the second-seeded Russian’s first title since 2008. Since that victory in Seoul she has lost finals in Barcelona, Moscow and New Haven, and the 2012 PTT Pattaya Open. Was she relieved?
